Explore Zanzibar's Coastal Paradise

Escape the crowds and uncover the wonders of Zanzibar’s captivating seashore, featuring pristine sandbanks, lush mangrove forests, and vibrant coral reefs.

The Adventure Awaits

Island Escapes

Paddle out to a dozen small islands and sandbanks around Fumba Peninsula. Dive into crystal-clear waters for snorkeling or swimming, or simply relax on a secluded beach.

The closest islet, Nguruwe, is just a few hundred meters from our restaurant. Others, a few kilometers away, make perfect destinations for experienced paddlers. Allow about half a day to navigate there and back.

Why Kayaking at Membe?

Safety First

While Zanzibar has no dangerous tidal currents, heavy winds can be a challenge. Always paddle out against the wind. Exercise caution around fishing boats and sharp coral rocks. Mandatory life vests ensure your security.

Stability and Comfort

Our kayaks feature a wider design behind the cockpit and a longer waterline, providing excellent stability in rough waters and bad weather. Spacious hatches are perfect for carrying snorkeling equipment, drinks, and snacks. Experienced guides accompany your paddling trip.

Relax and Rejuvenate

After your kayaking or swimming adventure, refresh yourself with a shower at our restaurant. Then, savor a well-deserved drink or meal.

Kayaks on the house!

Our kayaks are free of charge for clients of the restaurant. We aim to provide you with a seamless and memorable experience as you discover the wonders of Zanzibar’s coastal treasures.
